Thanks for sharing that article. Parents do take risks giving their older children autonomy. It's true, modern infrastructure isn't conducive to children roaming. I feel lucky to have had so much freedom at a young age to explore. Coincidentally, The Sandlot was filmed close to where I grew up. It all makes sense now why I like this film so much.
